Best Putters in Pro Disc Golf: FPO 2022
Rank | Name | C1X % | C1X Putts Made | C1X Putts Attempted |
1 | Ohn Scoggins | 83.8% | 496 | 592 |
2 | Valerie Mandujano | 79.3% | 536 | 676 |
3 | Alexis Mandujano | 77.4% | 509 | 658 |
4 | Sarah Gilpin | 77.2% | 193 | 250 |
5 | Heather Young | 76.9% | 93 | 121 |
Ohn Scoggins set the record for FPO C1X putting percentage last year with 84%, and she finished 2022 with a nearly identical success rate. This marks the third year in a row that Scoggins has led FPO from C1X.
What's C1X?
C1X stands for Circle 1X.
Circle 1 (C1) is any point within 10 meters (about 33 feet) of the basket. At this range, a player has to maintain balance behind their lie (i.e., can't jump or step putt).
C1X refers to all putts between 10 and 3.3 meters (about 11 feet). We assume pros will make nearly 100% of putts within 3.3 meters, so C1X eXcludes these tap-ins, providing a clearer picture of putting skill.
Best C2 Putters in Pro Disc Golf: FPO 2022
Rank | Name | C2 % | C2 Putts Made | C2 Putts Attempted |
1 | Ohn Scoggins | 30.6% | 100 | 327 |
2 | Ellie Bryant | 22.5% | 18 | 80 |
3 | Heather Young | 21.1% | 12 | 57 |
4 | Catrina Allen | 19.9% | 85 | 428 |
5 | Valerie Mandujano | 18.8% | 79 | 421 |
Having dominated C1X for the past few seasons, Scoggins must have thought it was time to pick up her C2 game. Last year, she made just 15% of her C2 putts. She doubled that success rate in 2022 and, in the process, set a new record for season-long C2 putting percentage in FPO.
What's C2?
C2 stands for Circle 2, which is anything outside of 10 meters (about 33 feet) from the basket up to 20 meters (about 66 feet).
Highest Birdie Rates in Pro Disc Golf: FPO 2022
Rank | Name | Birdie or Better % |
Birdie or Better Total | Holes Played |
1 | Kristin Tattar | 34.9% | 348 | 1,027 |
2 | Paige Pierce | 33.7% | 413 | 1,260 |
3 | Holyn Handley | 30.5% | 292 | 972 |
4 | Hailey King | 30.2% | 241 | 817 |
5 | Catrina Allen | 29.3% | 404 | 1,404 |
In MPO, the top five in birdie rate also happened to be the same players who ended 2022 ranking top five in the world (not in the same order, but all the names were the same). In FPO, that's not the case.
Kristin Tattar is ranked #1 both here and in the world, but Catrina Allen is her only fellow 2022 birdie-leader who's also in the current world's top five for FPO. Everyone else is in the top 10, but the difference between the two divisions suggests that MPO is more of a birdie race while getting pars and few bogeys can still get you pretty far in FPO.
We should also mention these are actually "birdie or better" rates as they includes eagles and aces, too.
Lowest Bogey Rates in Pro Disc Golf: FPO 2022
Rank | Name | Bogey % |
Bogey Total | Holes Played |
1 | Ohn Scoggins | 12.22% | 145 | 1,188 |
2 | Kristin Tattar | 12.96% | 133 | 1,027 |
3 | Missy Gannon | 13.69% | 175 | 1,278 |
4 | Catrina Allen | 13.70% | 192 | 1,404 |
5 | Valerie Mandujano | 14.38% | 189 | 1,314 |
The bogey totals include all sorts of bogeys – single, double, triple, and so on.
Comparing this list to the current world's top five in FPO speaks to the point we made in the Birdie Rate rankings – that FPO isn't all about the birdies and pars are a bit higher value than in MPO. Whereas only two of five players in the Birdie Rate top five are currrently in the world's top five, four of the players in these rankings are. Valerie Mandujano (currently 12th in the world) is the only player who isn't.
Most Eagles in Pro Disc Golf: FPO 2022
Rank | Name | Eagle Total |
1 | Ella Hansen | 12 |
2 | Paige Pierce | 11 |
T3 | Kristin Tattar | 10 |
T3 | Natalie Ryan | 10 |
5 | Catrina Allen | 8 |
Some of the biggest arms in FPO also earned the most eagles. Congrats to these women for going big and it paying off.
What's an Eagle?
When a player completes a hole in two fewer strokes than par (hole-in-one on a par 3, two strokes on a par 4, or three on a par 5), they get an eagle.
Most Throw-Ins in Pro Disc Golf: FPO 2022
Rank | Name | Throw-In Total |
1 | Raven Klein | 10 |
2 | Kat Mertsch | 8 |
T3 | Cynthia Ricciotti | 7 |
T3 | Lisa Fajkus | 7 |
5 | Alexis Mandujano | 6 |
A throw-in happens when a player gets their disc in the basket with a throw from outside C2 (outside 20 meters/65.6 feet).
In her second year of competing regularly on the pro circuit, Minnesotan Raven Klein found the basket from downtown more than any other FPO competitor.
Best Fairway Hit Rates in Pro Disc Golf: FPO 2022
Rank | Name | Fairway Hit Rate |
Fairway Hits |
Drive Throws |
1 | Eveliina Salonen | 75.5% | 869 | 1,026 |
2 | Kristin Tattar | 74.4% | 870 | 1,026 |
3 | Holyn Handley | 73.2% | 827 | 972 |
4 | Hailey King | 73.0% | 664 | 780 |
5 | Missy Gannon | 72.5% | 1,058 | 1,278 |
In a season where Finn Eveliina Salonen's C1X putting percentage fell 15% from the year before (67% to 52%), being extremely accurate off tees and from the fairway kept her relevant. This ranking helps show why she's still in the world's top 10 and also suggests just how dangerous she can be if she finds her putting rhythm in the offseason.
What's a Fairway Hit?
Here's how we define a fairway hit:
- Fairway Hits stats only cover players' first shots (i.e., tee shots) on par 3s and 4s.
- On a par 3, a player's drive has to come to rest within C2 to count as a fairway hit.
- On a par 4, the player's first shot needs to be in the fairway (e.g., not in the woods, OB, or in a hazard) or in C2.
- On a par 5, a player can earn 0, 1, or 2 fairway hits. If a player's first shot lands in the fairway, it counts as a fairway hit (if it miraculously landed within C2, that would also count). A player's second shot can land in the fairway or within C2 and count as a fairway hit.
Best Scramble Rates in Pro Disc Golf: FPO 2022
Great scramblers are creative and versatile. They can quickly pinpoint the best windows from unfamiliar positions and execute unusual throws (often with less-than-ideal footing). Hats off to these top notch line-finders. We dedicate our next patent pending shot to you.
What's a Scramble?
The scramble stat tracks a player's ability to recover from an off-target drive and avoid carding a bogey. If a player ever throws OB or off the fairway and still earns par or better on a hole, they've successfully scrambled.
Best Bounce Back Rates in Pro Disc Golf: FPO 2022
Rank | Name | Bounce Back Rate |
Successful Bounce Backs |
Bounce Back Chances |
1 | Kristin Tattar | 36.8% | 53 | 144 |
2 | Paige Pierce | 36.4% | 88 | 242 |
3 | Natalie Ryan | 33.2% | 85 | 256 |
4 | Catrina Allen | 30.0% | 69 | 230 |
5 | Ohn Scoggins | 28.1% | 46 | 164 |
A player successfully "bounces back" when they card a birdie or better after getting bogey or worse on the previous hole. That means every bogey a player gets means another chance to bounce back.
Highest Precise Power Index (PPI) in Pro Disc Golf: FPO 2022
Rank | Name | PPI |
Holes Counted in PPI |
1 | Natalie Ryan | 23.6 | 181 |
2 | Hailey King | 21.7 | 126 |
3 | Paige Pierce | 21.3 | 240 |
4 | Henna Blomroos | 20.3 | 201 |
5 | Eveliina Salonen | 18.3 | 215 |
We unveiled the precise power index (PPI) near the end of the 2022 season, but it was applied to all tournaments in 2022 (and before). In the most basic terms (and with some caveats), PPI shows how accurately an FPO player was on holes where they threw 350 feet/107 meters or more (distance threshold is higher for MPO). Higher PPIs equal better accuracy at distance.
You can get more info on PPI in our post introducing the stat.
Most Impressive Distance Shots in Pro Disc Golf: FPO 2022
Rank | Name | Hole Distance |
Where Drive From Tee Landed |
Hole - Round - Tournament |
T1 | Amy Lewis | 516 feet/157 meters | Circle 1 - Parked | Masters Cup - Rd. 2 - Hole 18 |
T1 | Emily Beach | 516 feet/157 meters | Circle 1 - Parked | Great Lakes Open - Rd. 1 - Hole 1 |
3 | Henna Blomroos | 479 feet/146 meters | Circle 1 - Parked | Heinola - Rd. 1 - Hole 15 |
4 | Keiti Tätte | 474 feet/145 meters | Circle 1 - Parked | USWDGC - Rd. 3 - Hole 18 |
T5 | Raven Klein | 472 feet/144meters | Circle 1 - Parked | MVP Open - Rd. 2 - Hole 13 |
T5 | Eveliina Salonen | 472 feet/144meters | Circle 1 - Parked | MVP Open - Rd. 3 - Hole 13 |
When we made the MPO list in this category, we unfortunately couldn't find any footage of one of the great throws in it.
We've had more luck with FPO, so you can check out the #3 throw from Finn Henna Blomroos. The commentators are speaking Finnish and react to the shot with typical Finnish enthusiasm (that is to say, there is absolutely no enthusiasm):
And if you think the course in that video looks awesome, you're right! It was ranked #5 in our last World's Best Disc Golf Courses list. Learn about it in "World's Best Disc Golf Courses: Kippasuo Pro at Heinola DiscGolfPark World."
Most Active Pro Disc Golfers: FPO 2022
Rank | Name | Holes Tracked | Equivalent in 18-Hole Rounds | Best 2022 Elite Series or Major Finish |
T1 | Kat Mertsch | 1,476 | 82 | T3rd - Jonesboro Open |
T1 | Maria Oliva | 1,476 | 82 | 4th - USWDGC |
3 | Jessica Weese | 1,458 | 81 | 8th - Open at Idlewild |
T4 | Ella Hansen | 1,404 | 78 | T2nd - Preserve Championship |
T4 | Catrina Allen | 1,404 | 78 | 1st - Las Vegas Challenge and Open at Idlewild |
These competitors kept their noses to the grindstone and played more disc golf at the world's most elite events than any other FPO competitors.
It's very notable that the top three in these rankings played more holes tracked with UDisc Live than any other disc golfers in 2022, including those in MPO. This is in part because the USWDGC – a Major – was scored with UDisc Live, and there wasn't a concurrent high-level event with an MPO division.
LONGEST STREAKS IN PRO DISC GOLF (FPO): 2022
While season-long stats show which players stayed consistent, everyone loves seeing a short burst of something spectacular. In this section we tell you which FPO competitors maintained impressive streaks.

T3 | Valerie Mandujano | 7 | USWDGC - Rd. 4 - Hole 3 | USWDGC - Rd. 4 - Hole 9 |
It's interesting that three of the longest birdie streaks in FPO came from Worlds – the most high profile event of the season.
Longest Bogey-Free Streaks in Pro Disc Golf: FPO 2022
Rank | Name | Bogey-Free Streak |
Streak Start | Streak End |
1 | Sai Ananda | 66 | USWDGC - Rd. 1 - Hole 1 | USWDGC - Rd. 4 - Hole 12 |
2 | Maria Oliva | 61 | Preserve Championship - Rd. 3 - Hole 6 | USWDGC - Rd. 3 - Hole 12 |

5 | Ohn Scoggins | 52 | Portland Open - Rd. 3 - Hole 2 | Beaver State Fling - Rd. 1 - Hole 17 |
Whereas Worlds came up frequently in longest birdie streaks, the USWDGC – another Major – is a constant here.
These streaks include playoff holes if they existed.

Rank | Name | No Misses in C1 Streak |
Streak Start | Streak End |
1 | Ohn Scoggins | 64 | OTB Open - Rd. 2 - Hole 14 | Portland Open - Rd. 3 - Hole 5 |

T4 | Ohn Scoggins | 46 | Green Mountain Championship - Rd. 1 - Hole 13 | Green Mountain Championship - Rd. 4 - Hole 4 |
T4 | Vanessa Van Dyken | 46 | 2022 Worlds - Rd. 2 - Hole 14 | 2022 Worlds - Rd. 5 - Hole 5 |
These streaks could include makes from tap-in range, C1X, C2, and throw-ins (including aces). A miss from C2 didn't break the streak.
